June 8th marks a very important date for our faith community. It is the last Sunday service before our summer hiatus.
It has been, by my account, a year of growth, personal and collaborative. We gathered. We prayed. We reflected. We agreed. We disagreed. At times we even became disagreeable with one another. We had to remind ourselves that we choose to live by covenant with one another. Holding one another’s dignity is the most important pillar of our community.
All in all, we affirm that of all the things we can be towards one another…Kindness is the bedrock of our experience and expression. The new “symbol” that we have recently accepted through our UUA has “LOVE” at the very center. It reminds us that we must always center ourselves in LOVE in everything that we do.
As we reflect on lessons learned over the past year, let us go through this summer continuing to seek our center. Enjoy your picnics, your communion with Mother Earth (Nature), your loved ones.
Let us remember that spiritual growth never takes a hiatus. Let us plan for the coming church year. Let us come back in September…refreshed and open to new growth and open to be of greater care for each other and the world. Thank you all for your love and support.
Please, reach out to me whenever you choose, to let me know how I can be of greater service to you.
Peace be with you,
Rev. Ron
